A good Friend of mine Cheryl Jones (who is a well respected Professor of Music & a Renowned Vocalist & Musician), enlightened me to the true origin of the word "Diva". It comes from Opera & is meant to be a term referencing the "Reverence of Women". Cheryl spoke of the term being an honor. Diva embodies the essence of the Female Spirit, the Strengths, Endurance & Grace of Women. I agree with the reverence of women & I applaud this acknowledgment to Women. However, the term has taken on a different connotation, thanks in great part to American TV & the media. Now the term Diva refers to arrogance, vanity, & the "ME-ME" disease (all about ME...Me-Me). I respect Cheryl Jones & value your knowledge & friendship. She is a perfect example of the "Original Essence of a Diva". Cheryl embodies the reverence of women & their fierce independence. I applaud Cheryl for her achievements, gentle nature, immense talent & wisdom.

Will someone please tell me what is with these "TV Divas"? Where do they find these women? Are they hatched or possibly cloned? Either one is very likely since they obviously lack the ability to have empathy, compassion, sympathy for anyone but themselves. The only love they feel is for themselves & it is apparently a strong bond they have with themselves.

What happened to Lucy & Ethel from I Love Lucy? Gracie Burns, Ellie May & Granny from "Beverly Hillbillies", Louise Jefferson & Florence from "The Jefferson's", Florida Evans from "Good Times", Maude, Edith Bunker from "All in the Family" were women with Sassafras. Remember Jeannie, Wilma Flinstone & Betty Rubble, Mrs. Brady, the Brady girls & Alice? Let's hear it for Rhoda, Mary Tyler Moore,& Gidget. Do not forget Rachel Greene, Monica Geller & Phoebe from "Friends". The cast of ladies from "Thirty Something", Elaine from "Seinfeld", Daphne from "Frasier". The cast of comediennes from "Living Single" were fabulous. There are numerous women of TV past, who forged the way for the women of today. They were classy, sassy & when called upon they would kick some royal bootie & stand up for what they believed. These ladies made us laugh without being bleeped. They were women, real women could relate to & share a laugh with.

we really need to hear bleep, bleep, bleeping, bleep every other word?
Someone please purchase these "TV Divas" a dictionary to expand their
vocabulary, because apparently they are unable to articulate their
thoughts in a sober & coherent manner. Thus, we are all forced to
hear the bleep sound aimlessly sounding off, for the duration of the
program. What do children think about all the bleeps? I suppose they
might think it is acceptable behavior, even cool to be bleeped
repeatedly. The thought of that fact is appalling to me. What is with
the Drama Mamas creating Drama where there is none? Seriously let it go
& move on ladies! Most women do not have time for catty games of
drama trying to make others miserable. What is the purpose in dragging
other women down, so that you look better & sit a little bit higher
on your pedestal / throne?
The
kind of games these TV Divas are playing are high school fodder &
they look ridiculous. Not in a funny LOL way, but a pitiful OMG what
were you thinking...oh you weren't thinking, because you checked your
brain at the front door & left it before you walked out the door.
I want to make it Clear there are some women on Reality TV, that I do find to be humorous, full of good cheer, informed & family oriented women. They are NOT TV DIVAS & I applaud these women for their hudspah, strength, courage & morals to stand up, for what they believe to be Right. I give credit where it is due. Courtney from Bravo's "Design by 9", any lady that has seven children & is not insane while being a fashionista has my vote...you go girl! Jenny Masche from WE channel's "Raising Sextuplets", what a Super Mama to raise 6 babies, work, run marathons & still laugh with her Hubby at the end of the day. You have my respect Sugar! Sonya Norwood from "Ray J & Brandy:A Family Business" for always being herself & protecting her family, while being a class act! The New Jersey Housewives Caroline, Dina & Jacqueline for keeping it real. Kandi & Lisa Wu Hartwell of the Atlanta Housewives you are Stand up Gals in a world gone Berserk & you can laugh at yourselves! Kudos to these ladies who love their families, live their lives with respect of others, respect of friendships & marriage. Motherhood is an honorable lifelong career & You ladies appear to be great Moms. It is very Refreshing to see Real Women have class & the ability to laugh at themselves. The fore mentioned Ladies prove women can be friends with each other & encourage each other to succeed. Wow, what a concept. I spoke to a Producer, who was interested in 3 of my shows (HE will remain nameless) & HE said, "No one wants to see women who get along, women that are strong, successful & funny. Train wrecks sell, back biting, cat fights are what we want." "I Do Not Believe That for a Minute!" I said, " You are underestimating Your audience." HE replied, "I don't think so. They are shallow. Women love drama & who cares about the ones who are nice or normal? They are all full of it!" I differ with him & hope to Prove HIM Wrong. I have 6 docu-drama/reality shows, 1 Drama, 1 comedy sitcom, 1 dating game for women, 2 Game shows. I believe audiences are intelligent, witty & want to be entertained. I aim to do just that for America & the World. Okay, reeling the Ego back into check. All checked up again...now where was I ? Oh Yeah.."Twits with Tits".
I think it's time for "The Twits with Tits" formerly known as "TV Divas", to move on over & make room for "The Real Beaches", The "Babes with Brains". Please excuse the Tits comment, I find it to be less offensive than some other terms, but feel free to enlighten me, with any suggestions you have on the subject. I mean No Disrespect to "The Housewives" who are NOT ALL TV DIVAS, some of them are witty & wonderful, while others are The "PB TV DIVAS" (PAMPERED BIATCHES) who whine, then wine, dine, whine, shop, wine, shop, whine, wine..well you get the picture. The "PB TV DIVAS" are splashed across the channels in various shows & they are obnoxious, nitwits who delight in the down fall of other women. They are offensive, abrasive women who are seeking the limelight @ all costs. The "PB DIVAS" do not have any regards for anyone else's feelings. Why not poke fun at reality? Why not have a laugh on yourself, don't take yourself so seriously. Life is not something any of us will beat & get out alive, so laugh your way through it babe! LOL!
Real Women have real agendas & itineraries, that are filled to capacity, as Mothers, Wives & Career women. I have NO sympathy, for Over self indulgent whiny women, who married for money & are now bored. Get a life & fire the Nanny! Get to know your children & share a laugh with them. Kids repeat what they see & what are these Twits teaching these precious little children? Call me a Beach or a Prude, but I respect my Mother, my Aunts, my Grandmas & my sister. All down to earth Southern ladies who cared enough to instill values & morals upon me, while sharing laughs. I thank them for the discipline & for saying "No" to me. My sister is a Superstar in my eyes, with a successful career, great kids, loving husband & a well rounded home life with her family. There is no shame in hard work & but there is shame in being an arrogant Diva who feels she is entitled. No one owes you a thing in this life sweetheart, so get your head out of your butt & the view will clear up!
These arrogant dragons of despair "TV Divas", take out their aggressions on every unsuspecting person they encounter, while indulging their excesses such as daily shopping, dining (because they're to lazy to shop for food or clean a kitchen). The poor store clerks, waitress/waiters, bartenders & receptionists get to reap the wrath of these "PB" psychos. Will someone tell them to "GET A REAL JOB", or Volunteer (not just writing a check). Aha, that's a novel idea, helping someone other than yourself, a little benevolence would not hurt them one bit. Yes, that would mean cutting out some trips to the spa for a facial & faux nails. Yes, that does mean less trips to the Plastic Doc; for yet even larger breasts, which already enter the room 2 minutes before you do, "Ms. TV Diva". If the Good Lord blessed you with ample breasts, invest in a good bra & be grateful. On the other hand, if you were not so fortunate, I understand enhancing your bust line. Enhance does not mean add 10 pounds or more of silicone/saline to each breast.
I don't think I need to list their names in any specific way or format, because we All know who they are. These "Disrespectful Impetuous Vain Arrogant" women, "TV DIVA" for short, will stop at nothing short of pandering themselves, in order to achieve some notoriety, that some refer to as the almighty FAME. Once these "TV DIVAS" have reached the pinnacle of their existence in TV land, & their vanity threatens to topple their bodies, under the weight of their over inflated Egos & breasts; only then will the "TV Diva" spare a brain cell in reflection of doing the right thing. Alas, the moment is fleeting & the "TV Diva" will inevitably be swayed by her own vanity, to squeeze into yet another skin tight spandex dress & let her foul mouth run free with filth & venom. She will unleash her gigantic fraudulently inflated bought & paid for boobs, upon the unsuspecting viewers like a raging river over flowing it's banks. Yes, it is a well known fact, that "TV DIVAS" are narcissistic, arrogant, self centered, pragmatic, obnoxious, deficient, carnal, inept women , whose only goal in life is to be the center of attention at all costs. The costs can be severe & can leave these morally bankrupt individuals virtually alone, once the cameras fancy a new flavor of the month.
The "TV Diva" feeds off of DRAMA & the Pain of others around her. She creates Trouble where there previously was harmony. The "TV Diva" is like a succubus extracting the life out of those around her. Let's call these Wicked Wenches what they actually are "DRAMA MAMAS"! There is Too much Drama going on MAMA! Get over Yourself already, the rest of us have gotten over you.
My Intention is NOT to OFFEND Anyone! Enlightenment is what I was striving for in this ranting. Although, I sound like a PMS Beach, I assure you I'm not presently under the influence of PMS. Don't take me with a grain of salt unless you also have a shot & a lemon. Seriously, I wonder where we went wrong in America. Yes, I had written my own show (but I also have 10 others in several genres), my show is about REAL WOMEN, NOT TV PSYCHO DIVAS. It doesn't matter, if I never sell these shows; I will not compromise my values & morals for TV. I know I'm a "BEACH" & I wear the title proudly, to prove you can be a strong, intelligent, humorous, creative, loving woman & you don't have to be or look like a Ahem....HO! There I said it, HO, HO, HO... & I'm not Santa either.
These are my opinions, & we all know what opinions are like, so don't send me emails on this topic. I am simply voicing my Outrage, as any True Beach Wife should. I will give credit where it is due, but in the case of "TV DIVAS", not so much. In fact, I think the TV Divas owe all of US an apology, for being a plight on society & secretly attempting to brainwash us, into believing it was somehow En Vogue to be an overbearing, childish, pampered, rude BIATCH! Well, no more! "Beaches, Gems of the Emerald Coast & Beaches everywhere should take a stance AGAINST "TV Divas".

I would like to bestow the title of "Beach Wife" upon my friend Cheryl Jones, who is an inspiration to all women. A gifted lady who has raised her son to be a talented, respectable young man & she is a positive role model for her students. I admire her grace & tenacity. She is a gentle woman with a massive heart of compassion for others & a wealth of knowledge. Cheryl Jones is a true "Diva" in it's Original meaning the Reverence of Women & their Independent Spirit. Cheryl Diva Jones owns her title with all it's positive aspects.
This was written tongue in cheek, with a wink & a sigh, in the hopes that you might ponder my rantings, before you decide to watch another Diva on the "Boob" tube. I intended to raise your eyebrows & make you summarize, just what my reasoning might be for writing these absurd columns. Well, it went as planned. You thought I was outrageous, for attacking "TV Divas", poor little "PB"s are helpless. You were so brainwashed, by the media that you defended (if only for a moment) the "TV Diva". When, you should have let your common sense & morality take charge & say,"Yeah, she's right." My job is done here & I am off to tackle the next topic annoying me. LOL!
Thanks for being so kind & reading this Tantrum, from a True Beach. I find self deprecation in the form of humor, to be an admirable quality. I laugh at myself daily along with the those I encounter, who also laugh along with me. LOL! You might as well laugh at yourself, God laughs at you daily!
