Look to the Beach Wife & the Beach Posse for Fun in the Sun without burning your Buns Hun!

Hey, the Original Beach Wife is back for more tips on where to go, for fun in the sun & where to go when the day is done. Can you say beach? After many years of marriage I've earned the title "Beach Wife".
My hubby Sol & I dined at a quaint real Italian joint called, "Fat Clemenza's", in Miramar Beach, Florida. Yes, that's where I wanted to go for a relaxing dinner. I LOVE Real Italian cuisine & not that franchised canned & boxed junk.
I digress.....I had been anticipating their brick oven pizza & I was not disappointed. It was superbly fresh, hot & Italian. The pizza was loaded with fresh mozzarella, homemade Italian sausage & fresh basil on a crispy crust. The salad was crisp, fresh & bursting with flavor. It taste, as if they had just pulled the veggies from the garden. The fried calamari was perfect, not chewy, lightly breaded with a tasty marinara sauce for dipping. FRESH is the key word here folks! Bellisimo, to the Chef, Mama Mia! I will be back for seconds, thirds, fourths...it was a delight, for the palette. Hey Fat's, the Beach will be back!

"Shades at the Loop" in Rosemary Beach has a wide variety of ice cold brews, over 35 @ the last count. John Freer & Joe Freer, the owners are Fab guys, who make sure your dining & wining experience is a pleasure. The seafood pizza is my favorite as is the spinach salad with fresh bacon & raspberry vinaigrette! The Beach Wife aka Lisa loves them both with a glass of White Zinfandel. My Hubby Sol  absolutely loves the entire menu. Do like most folks & sample a different beer each time you go!

I felt like eating Fried Green Tomatoes & that meant one thing, dining @ Old Florida Fish House. The Old Florida Fish House is located in Seagrove Beach. I usually pair a large bowl of seafood gumbo with their Fried Green tomatoes topped with lump crab meat. Sol had the Seafood platter & it was so large he had trouble finishing it. Fresh lightly seasoned veggies accompanied the fried seafood on a bed a julienne fried onions. A nice glass of Zinfandel rounded out a sumptuous meal. Then, it was a short stroll to the bar to listen to some tunes from the "Fish House band". Tim Jackson, Jeffrey Mc Bride & Ike Bartley are quality musicians, who had the crowd gyrating to the funky beats.
Jeffrey belted out a version of At Last, that made Beyonce & Etta James, stand up & take notice. We had a great time there as always. Take your significant other or a group of friends to have dinner & tell them The Beach Wife sent you.

Speaking of Fried Green Tomatoes, Whooooo! I had some tantalizing crispy green slices of perfection at Bayou Bill's in Santa Rosa Beach. I paired them with  blackened Yellow Fin Tuna steaks & my mouth went into southern bliss mode. The tuna was moist, seasoned mildly & the fried tomatoes were firm, thick & crunchy. The decor is full of local art & family friendly. The wait staff was smiling & professional. Bravo Bayou Bill's my Mom & Aunt Carolyn gave you the Mama's stamp of Approval & they are phenomenal Cooks.

I tripped over to A.J.'s Bimini on a Sunday afternoon with my family & heard a group of players who were filling in for "Jones & Company", Sol Morgan (my hubby), Pat Boone, Mike Turner, Fly Dents, Brent Purcell. They were rockin' the house, the dance floor was packed. Everyone was enjoying steamed & grilled seafood, while the pelicans were flying above us. A good time was had by all. Friends, fun, talented musicians harbor view, cool drinks, fresh seafood. What more do you need? Life is good on the Emerald Coast. The music was so good it made me want to beach slap myself...KA-Pow! Be sure to catch Jones & Company on Sunday afternoons @A.J.'s; they're amazing. Cheryl Diva Jones will scat you like you've never been scatted before.
The entire band is talented & grooving, just what a late Sunday afternoon requires.
